The Counter-Strike 2 Poland Championship is set to be the biggest CS2 tournament in Poland this year, bringing together the best teams and players from across the country. Tournament Overview
The CS2 Poland Championship will take place from August 15-20, 2023, at the Spodek Arena in Katowice. This six-day event will feature both professional and amateur divisions, with a combined prize pool of 500,000 PLN, making it the largest CS2 tournament prize pool in Polish history.
The tournament is officially sanctioned by Valve and will serve as a qualifying event for the European Masters later this year, giving Polish teams a chance to compete on the international stage.
Tournament Format
The CS2 Poland Championship will follow a dual-bracket format:
Professional Division
- Teams: 16 professional teams (8 invited, 8 qualified)
- Format: Group stage followed by double-elimination playoffs
- Prize Pool: 350,000 PLN
Amateur Division
- Teams: 32 amateur teams (all qualified through online qualifiers)
- Format: Swiss system followed by single-elimination playoffs
- Prize Pool: 150,000 PLN
Qualification Process
For the Professional Division, eight teams will receive direct invitations based on their performance in previous tournaments and Polish CS2 rankings. The remaining eight slots will be filled through a closed qualifier taking place July 10-12, 2023.
For the Amateur Division, all 32 teams will qualify through a series of four open online qualifiers, with each qualifier providing eight spots. These qualifiers will take place throughout July with the following schedule:
- 1st Open Qualifier: July 1-2, 2023
- 2nd Open Qualifier: July 8-9, 2023
- 3rd Open Qualifier: July 15-16, 2023
- 4th Open Qualifier: July 22-23, 2023
Registration Information
Registration for the open qualifiers will open on June 15, 2023, on the official CS2 Poland Championship website. Teams must consist of at least three Polish citizens or residents to be eligible to compete.
